For so many the dream of owning a deck is far away, the cost somehow is thousands to pay an installer. But what if I could show you an easy way to design a deck and install it yourself. You only need some tools and you do not need to be too handy. How this possible, well is let me explain.
I know I work for Great Railing and I am kind of bias on my opinion, but where are you going to find a a company that offers deck designs, virtually, printed out with a deck kit to the match the design, and a cool little tool called the Camo gun to help it all come together?
If you stop in the showroom or even call; one of our representative will custom design your deck according to your budget, then print out, email or fax a copy of the design to you. Once you approve they will place an order and show you everything you need to get the job done.
If you head over to one of the deck companies we endorse, Great American Deck Builder you will see firsthand exactly what we tell our customers; a step by step plan if you will.
First if you’re close by try and make an appointment, this way a sales person will be ready for you and only you. The showroom hours are Monday thru Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 9am to 1pm.
Second, When you come in bring everything you can think of that you want on your deck, pictures from magazine, a sketch, survey of the house (so we can see how big the CAN be, if you choose so, and also where we can place the deck)
Third, you need building permits to get started, every deck needs a proper building permit, and you can go to your local township municipal building and find information on deck permits. If you have them ahead of time, bring them with you.
And finally, let us give you an estimate, you do not have to buy that day, remember not to let anyone pressure you into buying that day. A deck is a big financial investment and it must be talked over and thought about over night.
I was taught to always get three prices on everything you do with your house, but always go with your gut feeling. If the price is a little too much but you really like the salesperson, which is honest with you at every turn, you might want to go with them instead of the cheaper company asking for you to buy immediately.
Good luck at choosing a decking company, and if you have questions call us at 856-875-0050.
